October Election News

Let's kick it up a notch!

We’re just weeks away from ballots dropping, and 5 weeks from election day on November 2nd. It's time to FLIP council and start making progress on our most pressing issues.

Help:
Autumn is the perfect time to combine sunny walks, blue skies, fall colors, and getting the word out about progressive council candidates. We need your help distributing candidate literature to 35,000 homes. Sign up to help here! We'll bring you the lit in 50-home batches and assign you a neighborhood. No need to talk to anyone, just drop the info at the door and go!

Awesome:
We are so PUMPED to have surpassed the halfway mark on our fundraising goal. Thank you! If you haven't chipped in yet, we could still really use the support! Remember, the donation cap per person is $100.

So far, the community contributions have allowed us to purchase and distribute yard signs, support interpreters for a candidate forum hosted by the Latinx community, and place print and social ads for our candidates. Help us reach even more voters by chipping in today.

Not Awesome:

On Tuesday, Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner asked Governor Polis a question from one of our former steering committee members, Lisa White. Lisa wanted to know how the governor planned to address Colorado's ozone and its effects on our state's air quality. Jared doesn't have a great track record on climate action and his attempts at "borderline disinformation" in his response are aggravating. Wildfires aside, much of our pollution on the Front Range is of the home grown variety and we (and Jared) are the ones responsible for changing that.

Next:
See above in the "Help" section - it's time to get out the vote! We really need YOUR help! This is big shoes-on-sidewalks action that has a massive impact on voters! Let's amass a volunteer army and make sure every Boulderite knows about our progressive candidates!

Interesting:
The new US Congressional District (CD) map has been agreed upon by the Independent Redistricting Commission and is on its way to the Colorado Supreme Court for final approval. Not a ton has changed for us in CD-2 save for losing Jefferson County to the CD-8 seat that the state gained after last year's census. Check it out!

Thanks again for your support, and as always, follow us on our social channels for the latest!
Till next time,
BP
